Bushwick Grind, LLC, was founded in September 2015 by husband and wife Raymond Davis and Kymme Williams-Davis. For over four years, Bushwick Grind has primarily operated as a Brooklyn based coffee shop and café with a mission to serve as a community-focused establishment. We provide guests a welcoming environment where they can enjoy delicious, locally sourced, high quality, healthier food and beverage.
Bushwick Grind is one of the 2018 recipients of the BrooklynOne's Cornerstone Business of The Year. They have been a 2019 vendor at Afro-Punk, operated a pop-up shop for Goldman Sachs, cater to large companies such as Weight Watchers, AARP, Lyft, the City of New York as well as ran the 2019 summer lunch program for youth at Brooklyn Law School. They are a New York Certified W/MBE (woman and minority-owned) business and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Alumni.
Bushwick Grind is committed to doing its part in ending the cycle of death and illness that can be prevented by access to healthy food.
As first-place winners of the 2020 1010Wins Small Business Grant, Raymond and Kymme were awarded funding to launch a new business line of urban farming in an area currently considered a "healthy food desert." Renting the empty lot adjacent to their café reinforces their community engagement by offering an authentic farm to table profile, increase overall education and visibility to the bountifulness of producing food.
Either through café, catering, food-service, special events, pop-up shops, and soon, urban farming, Bushwick Grind is focused on making a significant impact on their wellness.
